2000 chevy s10 cranks but wont start
My 2.8 89 S-10 barely turns over when it gets to operating temp, yet I can jump start it in 2nd gear and it runs just fine. I have a feeling that the starter might be getting too hot from the exhaust, then taking a huge power draw to barley turn it over. I was thinking of building a heat shield for the starter.Its been cleaned, fluids drained and replaced, fuel tank removed and cleaned, fuel lines blown out, cleaned electrical connections and such, new coil, ignition module, cap, rotor, plugs, crank sensor, ecm. I ran my truck low on fuel and parked on a slant. Now my s10 will not start. The fuel pump is still working and I changed the filter. I have added plenty of gas. The truck will turn over and occasionally will sputter like it almost wanted to start but never does.
