(Except at very low levels if you don't have extra attack or crossbow expert yet, but it's only a single additional attack on your very first round (both are pre-loaded entering combat, attack, stow, attack, reload, go back to attacking once per turn from there out), so not really relevant.)Both are two handed, both have the same 18m range. The only difference I see is that one has Piercing Shot for a weapon action and the other has Hamstring Shot. Other than that, it seems bows and crossbows are treated the same mechanically.
