I have an issue on our 2015 jeep wrangler high RPM's, when stopped at a light and ready to go i punched the gas and rpm goes high but jeep doesn't move its just reving up so i have to pull over shut the engine off and restart without any light coming on.RHD 2013 wrangler after 1 1/2 hours radiator fan runs super loud and doesn't shut off until engine is turned off, on mail route. Any ideas. Usually if the rad is low and the temp sensor senses the engine is getting to hot it will switch the fan into a higher speed to try and cool things. Why is my 2005 jeep wrangler overheating while driving highway speeds and cool at an idle. Even after replacing the water pump, the thermostat, and the radiator???? If this vehicle has a clutch type fan it is probably the problem, good at idle but once the rpm's speed up it does not keep up with engine speed, thats why it heats up at highway speed.A recurring common denominator is that running the Jeep at a stop for several minutes. Has to be more time than a traffic stop. While stopped, running idle, the dash goes dead. Not sure if there is one or multiple issues going on but I would start with the front brakes. First thing that comes to mind is the caliper (s) might be sticking. Second, I would ensure everything from the brake calipers to the suspension is torqued to specs.Water Pump Failure: A leaking water pump will result in a drop in the coolant level. but when it actually causes your Jeep Wrangler Overheating, it is more likely to be due to a failure of the water pump. If the top radiator hose isn't getting hard, then you might have a bad radiator cap, or a leak.
