Not so i said, and i just got the 2 recalls done, brake light switch and rear coil springs. i found an independent ex-Subaru tech-mechanic. he said it is exactly the lockup solenoid. remove and replace it wih a used OEM one, the gasket and CVT fluid top off. it was around $281 and change. shifts like new no lights. done in 3 to 4 hours.I have a 2018 SF w X-Mode and 65000 miles. On a trip quite a ways from home, after pulling over for a few minutes without shutting off the engine and starting from a complete stop, it lit up several fault lights and (I believe) went into limp mode (or at least it wouldn't upshift). Pulled over and scanner showed both the P0700 and P0730 codes.
