I had this issue on my Durango with 14 miles on it. Turned out under the shifter assembly and center console, there are dual ground eyelets. Mine were not tightend to spec. Tech put on a scanner, with in 1 hour had the issue solved and tightend the eyelets to the ground bolt.Tilt the steering wheel to the full UP position. Look underneath the column, and you should see a hole underneath the shifter area. Poke a screwdriver (or similar tool) up into that hole, and you can push the override lever (inside the column) up, which will then allow you to move the shift lever out of Park.2013. I believed it started in gear. it felt like it rolled forward a little before the parking brake engaged by itself and would have shifted to park. door was open with seat belt off. i was trying to trick it to go in park by itself.
