In general, I recommend to set food loot and gather amounts to minimum and game speed to x2, cause it's easy to find a whole years amount of food in one game day otherwise. Step 2) Keep going forward past the first right turn. Step 3) Keep going forward past the next left turn. Step 4) You will see a dirt path going off to the right. It's easiest to locate going west of Rosewood, but there is a catch: there are no roads leading to the base, only a maze-like overgrown forest path that is very hard to navigate.
