Same experience with the transaxle in my 1985 Jetta GL.2021 Subaru Impreza 5-Door Sport 5MT. 75W-90 is fine. Motul sells 75W-80 GL-5, which is what I'm using now since AMSOIL doesn't make a 75W-80.
