The current Nitro 27 factory loads are loaded with an extremely dense spherical (flattened ball) powder that has been reported to be Hodgdon's "Titegroup" or a very similar non-canister version of such. It is so dense that the TGT12 green wad is used with 1 1/8oz loads!Results using IMR 700X Powder: 0.6 ounce loads using 13.7 grains of IMR 700X powder (MEC bushing #24) with Rem hulls and Rem primers and they produced an average pressure of 3400 psi and average speed of 1207 fps. I've given the average of pressure and speed for each load.Remember that Speed and Shot Weight = Energy to knock down a target. The 1250 fps speed with 7/8oz is not the same recoil energy as with 1 1/8 as you know.
