ThanksI've noticed the XR650L's run pretty lean and hot; if a person adjusts the carb, and everything else is still bone stock, what sort of performance enhancements, if any, might he expect? I'm entertaining buying a XR650L, and imagine I won't have money set aside for the entire exhaust, air filter, and smog removal kit as a whole.

Wont help much on top you want a 2 or 3 to make more on top. Or better yet call web camshafts. Most every other bike, they stage 1 is for low-end torque. However with the xr650l being tuned from the factory for low-end, hot cams only makes a more aggressive cam and only the stage 1 for the xr650l.If it’s a Honda and it was produced in 2016 (USA and select other models), you’ll see the horsepower numbers below in the chart.
