For your first game, I would highly, highly recommend against using the respec mod, because there's at least one companion for whom respeccing him breaks his quests (the Ranger companion). Unfortunately, I have yet to find out where to go for this to happen. If you have it off active party members divide it evenly meaning if you have less then 6 you get more. Shared Exp on. Ex: Everyone (including non active) gets 10 exp for the kill or skill check.
