What I had to do was this: with the car running completely roll down the passenger window and roll it back up - using the passenger controls. Previously I had partway rolled down the window - just not all the ay. The process in the owners manual didn't work, no ...Try rolling all windows up then go to each individual door and hold the switch up for 5 seconds. So driver side door, hold switch up 5 second then passenger side door, hold switch up 5 seconds, etc until complete. Should reset and hopefully fix your issue. Reply.The window controller needs to be reset. Easy peasy! Turn the ignition on, no need to start the engine. Roll the driver's window halfway down. Pull the driver's window switch up and continue holding it up for a few seconds after it's fully closed. Repeat for the passenger window from the passenger's seat. Done!

The local Subaru dealership took a look at it and indicated that the issue was due to the window tinting, recommended lubrication. I tried some light lubrication on the window channel, this did not help. Since the problem is intermittent, I have not continued on with solving.
